While at work one Tuesday morning, I received a call on my cell phone indicating that they were aware that I had just lost my insurance and that they were able to provide access to 40 Healthcare Providers Nationwide for minimal cost and no pre-existing conditions. The companies have an open enrollment period for just a certain number of new members to obtain excellent coverage and phone access to a Medical Dr.
at any time. Would be given RX for simple issues via phone once the Dr. asked a few select questions to determine your symptoms. She stated that the only requirement was that I have a bank account or credit card account.
That sent up the first red flag. She asked me what type of payment I could handle and then put me on hold for a brief 45 seconds and then came back saying that she had an open access thru Advantage Health with no waiting period, free additional Dental and Vision coverage for xxx amount per month. With a 99$ enrollment fee which would allow for access to any Dr. nationwide.
and that Aetna had teamed up with them to provide a Wellness program....when I repeated back to her what she had stated to verify that it was true....she was not really able to re-confirm what she had said earlier. 2nd red flag....she kept repeating that she wanted to lock me in at that rate and couldn't guarantee that same rate again if I didn't take it right then.
I asked for a website to do some research prior to making my decision....she very slowly gave me pihc1 then hung up....Thank God I didn't fall for this so people be aware of these scams....they are becoming more and more convincing.
